Art should be felt, never just seen.
The Artist
Arnold Anderson Adams Sr. was born in Montreal Canada. As a young man Arnold read many books and periodicals about Africa. He Studied Africa's many cultural significance. With his Afro-Caribbean ancestry, Arnold perfected his many astute styles of realism and ethnic abstract concepts. As a Civil Engineer, in New York, he sustained his passion for African art. He increased his knowledge of Africa and his love of painting. Arnold’s many African interpretations come alive in bright oils, along with ethnic earth tones and hues. Arnold's paintings took on the "MAGNIFICENT CULTURAL GESTURES" of daily life and mores in African.
On Heritage
paintings are created with the same care as ancestral artifacts. Pigments are blended with historical precision. Canvases are hand-stretched to match the sculptural intent. We honor the traditions of our ancestors, ensuring our work resonates with their enduring spirit.
On Connection
AABUCU works most effectively as a bridge between cultures. We partner with collectors, curators, and galleries from the earliest conceptual phase — embedding meaning into the very fibers of the work rather than treating it as decoration. The result is a piece that feels alive, complete, and deeply rooted.

The Reflective Period
A time of stillness. The studio doors closed, but the work deepened. We focused on the quiet power of the portrait.
